百の知識より、一の実用

今日は半日、ミニマリズムの続きとして、本や雑誌の断捨離を行なっていましたが、テーマで絞ると一番多かったのは英語関連でした。

勉強用に書き写したり、問題を解いたりしたノートを含めて、多い順で次のような驚く数になっていました。

ラジオ講座テキスト  45冊

ノート                        18冊

勉強系                        16冊

英会話関連                  11冊

英検関連                      9冊

通訳案内士関連           3冊

TOEIC関連                  3冊

工業英検関連               2冊

合計                            89冊

古くは、高校生の時の参考書もありましたから、約33年間の蓄積になります。（もちろんこの間に捨てたものの数多くありましたが…）

この中には十分に活用できていない、いわゆる「宝の持ち腐れ」状態になっていた本やノートもありましたので、もう一度速攻で目を通し、たとえ一つでもよいから、『実戦で使える武器』としてその内容を身につけてから、廃棄したいと思います。

The oldest one was a reference book I had used 

during my high school days, so that means the total quantity mentioned above is about 33 years' accumulation. (Of course, I have been disposing of many other books until today ...)

There are some books or notes I have not fully utilized in the total 89 books, I mean, "sit on a gold mine". So I am going to read through the books and notes quickly again, then pick up even only one piece of useful information and master it as "practical arm" before throwing out them.
